Birdcage or an alternative veil would be beautiful

This one is pretty, a simple drop veil over a pretty headpiece (I would pick something in your original pick and not the one in this pic)

1st of all, gorgeous dress. I love it.   Hair-I think it looks nice with low or side bun-or updo, whatever those are called, or wispy hair maybe a side- low pony with big curls and a flower would be cute too and you could skip the veil. A bird cage veil or even a regular one would work but maybe a more sheer or one or  thinner two tiered one so that you can still see some of the detail on the back of the dress. I wish i could find the pictures I’m thinking of… maybe you could google vintage wedding and take a look at some of the brides with backless gowns and how they did their hair and veil to get an idea of what you like. I think I have seen a lot of these backless styles on weddingchicks or maybe it was mile high bride. hmmm. I have looked at WAY too many wedding pictures, sigh.

That dress is stunning.  You should definitely wear your hair up to show off the back of the dress.  I would go with a birdcage veil or just a headpiece, I think a longer veil will take away from the dress.

@tksjewelry:  I love the birdcage veil in the second pic you posted.  The soft fabric goes perfectly with this dress.

I love the roaring 20’s look! Gorgeous dress! I would go with a side sweep updo with a “vintage style” fascinator, there are plenty of them on Etsy just search under “vintage style fascinators” and you can see if that would be something you would like. I also like the short tulle veils that just cover the face with this look.

That dress is straight up Myrna Loy, who rocked the close fingerwaves in the 20s and then very slightly gave way tot he softer looks of the 30s – but not fully.  It’s definitely a 1930s style dress (that I’m completely drooling over, by the way – well done you!).

I second everyone who’s suggested a birdcage veil!  Even if your hair is long, it can be pulled off with an updo.  What’s pictured on the model is pretty ideal!

I think a side bun would look great with the vintage dress
