September 15 Bride here!
Background: We are having an outdoor wedding in the evening around 6 or 6:30, also our reception will be outside in a tent until about 10pm.
Im currently using Chanel luminier foundation and the pressed powder and while I love it the first two hours I have it on (makes my skin look flawless) after 2 hours it turns my face into an Oil reserve!!
Prior to trying Chanel I used Bare Minerals for about 4 years and before that I loved my Estee Lauder.
Im considering MAC makeup, studio fix fluid/powder. Does anyone know how this photographs?
My TZone is slightly oily but its never been this bad, it may just be stress/nerves bringing out the teenager in me (Which left many years ago!).
Any suggestions? What do you ladies wear?

Why don’t you dry a setting spray on top? Urban Decay and Skindanavia have some that might be worth looking into (MAC Fix+ doesn’t really fix your makeup IMO). There is also one called Model in a Bottle which is apparently amazing.

I plan on wearing makeup forever hd!

I’m probably going with muf mat velvet because I have super oily skin. I love Mac studio fix but the undertones are too yellow for my skin.

I used MUFE primer and then mixed MUFE HD foundation and Mat Velvet, finished with Tarte Smooth Operator powder.

Try Urban Decay DeSlick under your make-up. Spritz it on and let it dry, then procedd with your regular primer and foundation routine. If you need extra oil control, you can do another spritz of DeSlick over your make-up to lock everything in place and control the oil.
I used DeSlick, NARS skin perfecting primer, SmashBox 15 hour moisturizing foundation, Laura Mercier Secret Camoflauge concealer, and Tarte mineralized clay powder on my wedding day. It looked flawless from 11am to midnight.

Which Chanel Lumiere are you wearing? Vitalumiere turns me to a total oil slick but Mat Lumiere (now discontinued but still available) leaves me looking matt and perfect all day. I actually wore that on my wedding day and my skin looked flawless from 1pm (when I was made up) until 1am!

@SpecialSundae: my makeup is actually Perfection Lumiere and the pressed power.
Is that the same as vita or different? First time Chanel wear-er here!

@SerenityNow: Perfection is a “replacement” for Mat Lumiere and Pro Lumiere. My make-up artist and I are both agreed that it is deeply inferior to its predecessors! If you can seek out Mat Lumiere it will probably stay perfect for longer.

I have a friend who works for Mac and she told me that i should absolutely, under no circumstances, use Mac Studio Powder….. I had airbrushed makeup but wanted to keep something with me for touch ups because my wedding was outside in Florida so I tend to sweat/get oily after like 20 minutes. She suggested that i just use the translucent Mac powder – i can’t remember which one it was…. but me and my bridesmaids used it on the day of and it definitely helped keep the oily look at bay. 🙂
