Have any of you ever bought makeup brushes at Ulta? That’s the one thing I can’t bring myself to just completely splurge on at one of my fav makeup places. Surely a makeup brush is just a makeup brush right?

I love Mac and Coastal Scents, phenominal value!

I love different things, but MAC is my overall favorite.
Pop is amazing for mascara (I found it at Ulta, but Sephora has it too).
Smashbox primer & eyeshadows are just amazing too
I like Target’s brushes, they’re cheap and high quality.

Stila, Bella il Fiore, Larinem, Clinique, Revlon (for mascara and pencil eyeliner).

Check out mark. by avon for makeup brushes. They have a BUNCH and I have found their quality to be really great, and they are also fairly inexpensive!
I don’t really have a specific brand that I like, I just buy what looks appealing to me! I guess Cover Girl eyeshadow has always been a favorite, and I have tons of mark. stuff because I was a rep. My favorite thing that I have was actually a super bargain, it’s a wet n’ wild mineral foundation and mineral blush that I like better than bare minerals! The blush is just the most perfect mauve color that gives my pale skin a really nice glow!

Bare Essentials changed my world – seriously. Worth every penny but I still make myself only buy it on sale.

I love MAC too! I love that they have new collections so often, they’re not as expensive as other brands, and the color pay off is great!
Im really looking forward to their Disney Villains collection!
For foundations though I only use Clinique. I like YSL too for lipsticks.

I agree with JennyW1 — it’s the product not the brand. But if I had to pick just one… MUFE is my favorite brand overall. They remind me of MAC, only higher quality. And their foundations are the best — bar none.

I don’t really wear a lot of makeup, but when I do it’s usually covergirl :). I’ve always wanted to try something from MAC or Clinique >.<

I’m a HUGE fan of Laura Mercier. Have been since high school.

Try Eco Tools makeup brushes. They are a drugstore brand so they don’t cost as much but they are sooooo soft. I love their face brushes. I bit the bullet once and bought a MAC dup fiber brush and I completely regret it. There’s fallout every time I use it and it cost me like $34! I’ve also heard a lot of good reviews on Sigma makeup brushes and although they offer these huge kits I think their travel size kit would be a great kit to start with. Those are on my wish list 🙂

I love the bare essentials line. I have a tough time with liquid foundations. I love the mineral power because it is so light, but still has great coverage. It’s expensive, but I am still working on my first kit and it’s been almost a year since I bought it. Granted, I don’t wear full coverage every day. I’ll just even out some areas that need it. I adore the mineral veil and clear radiance powders.

M.A.C. hands down!!! I have worn it for 7 years. I do wear a little Smashbox mineral foundations in the summer and Lash Stiletto for mascara.
prettyinpink89: do not go to M.A.C. unless you want to be converted. I swear it is like a drug when you see the colors. I play at the counter all day when I go.
