RobbieAndJuliahaha :  Hiiiiieee. Lets be friends.

We’re doing our first dance to the acoustic version of Last Day On Earth since we met at a Manson show and spend all of our time following the tour around.

slomotion :  loovveeee.

Fiance and I listen to mainly metal/post hardcore/punk but probably won’t be playing it at the wedding either haha

ETA: We’ll probably sneak some in there afterhours though (once the grandparents leave).

I’m not really against any type of music, so hopefully our guests aren’t either!  Our RSVP postcards have a “Song Request” line where our guests can request a particular song.  We will be using these songs to help form our playlist.

FutureMrsHitBee :  Lucky for us, people pretty much know what they are signing up for already so I felt like I didn’t need to reign it in (except for maybe not walking down the aisle to Dr. Dre). My grandma has offered to go to mosh pits with me so she’s totally down for anything.

slomotion :  Walking in to Dr. Dre would be so epic. Also, you have the coolest Grandma!

ks835 :   I enjoy a wide range of music.  What makes me cringe is music that is so LOUD that I cannot converse with the person next to me.

slomotion :  Awesome 🙂 Definitely you can be my friend 🙂  We danced to the John Lennon version of Stand By Me – lol though I did suggest Six Feet Deep

Unpopular opinion – I literally just canNOTTT with Sweet Caroline for whatever reason. Other than that, I’m pretty open – definitely want to cater to the different generations present. I’ll probably do the whole song request on the RSVP card thing

slomotion :  You are awesome!

If I had my choice, I would have played lots of Joy Division, VNV Nation, The Smiths, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Fields of the Nephilim,  and Nosferatu at my wedding.  We eloped, though.

jennifer242 :  I used to loooove The Smiths but I had to cut them because I can no longer stand Morrissey on a deep personal level.

STOP WHINING MORRISSEY!

slomotion :  You are right about Morrissey.  The Smiths is nostalgia for me.

I hate any songs that are actually written about weddings or getting married (except for Bruno Mars lol). If they aren’t fun and catchy like Marry You, I just think they are soooo cheesy.
