I have a ceramic stove top.  The way to clean it is gently scrape (if necessary) with a razor blade in a plastic handle to get off burned on stuff.  Then polish with a special cleaner made just for these stove tops, it’s called CeramaBryte.  I get it at Lowe’s which is where I also got the stove.

Here’s a pic of the cleaner and type of stove top:

You’re welcome!  Glad I could help.  Another tip – this cleaner is a paste and it takes a little while to polish it to a shine.  What I do is after I’ve used it to get the stove top clean I then use a spray cleaner (like 409) to get rid of the residue and make it really shiny.

Im’ not sure what ‘flat burners’ is , but I have a glass stove top and I swear by bar keepers friends.  Sprinkle some on, give it a little rub, and it looks brand spanking new again. It’s great for the stainless sink too.
