I think you can definitely do a lace veil even if you have none on the dress… a mantilla might be beautiful. Can you go and try some on with the dress?

That dress, with already quite a bit of drama at the bottom, might be too much with a lace veil or mantilla. In my opinion, a raw edge or pencil edge chapel or cathedral, attached at the back of the head, would be my choice. It just adds softness and drama without the business of another pattern distracting from the dress.

Looks like everyone has different opinions on this! Have you been able to find any photos of brides with the same/similar dress and a veil?

Good luck in your search!

A chapel and a multi-tier veil may suit the dress.

DrunkInLove:  I’m going to agree with you here. I think you *could* match back a variety of different veils but I think a beautiful quality comb veil would be classic and really highlight both your and the dress’ beauty.

I would go for something unusualy short or a long veil but simple (one layer).

I think lace veils often go really well with non-lace or minimal lace dresses (sometimes lace on lace can be too much), BUT what makes your dress a little different is that the dress is very modern witht the flanges, and that would really contrast with traditional vintage-y lace. That’s what makes a simple veil a better choice IMO.

I would go with a fingertip-length veil. I agree that lace might not be the best choice, but I don’t like lace veils to begin with. What about a veil with some beading around the edges?

I would go with pearl beading. Either pearls thinly beaded on the edge or minimally scattered throughout. By The Way, that dress is perfection on you!

Your dress is very similar to the dress I wore for my wedding. Originally, I had a bubble veil, but in the end I change my mind and got a chapel length veil made as I wanted something long and flowy. It was one layer and had swarovski crystals sewn on it to give it extra sparkle.  I loved it.
