That sounds like a wonderful idea!  Or, I’ve seen cute measuring spoon favors online.

Here is a link to what I’m talking about:  http://www.favorfavor.com/page/FF/PROD/4801

My fiance and I will more than likely give bookmarks as favors.  We’re both big readers so it makes perfect sense for us.  And, who doesn’t need a bookmark? =)

@NCPwedding:  My Fiance and I entertain a LOT. In fact I’m a chef, so we are giving everyone our signature steak spice as favors. It’s something that we give to family at Christmas and everyone loves it.

@NCPwedding thanks!  See, I told ya.  😉 Def going with bookmarks.  We just need to pick them out, lol.  I actually have two I really love.  One is more wedding theme related and the other is fall related which still works since we’re getting married in the fall.  Ah, choices!

And I love the spice rub idea!!  You could probably do that relatively cheap and package the rub in little jars or tins.  It’d be super cute.  Really, you could see how much it’d cost to do that and then see how much the measuring spoons would be and package them together.  lol, that’d be pretty stellar.  But I still LOVE your custom cookbook idea too.  Very nice =)

Favors are the last thing on our list and the first to be cut for money reasons. We really don’t see the need for favors and I know I never expect nor care about them as a guest. But, if we do want them, we may do $1.00 scratch-off lottery cards.

My fiancee and I are making small jars of jam for every guest and are doing a huge candy bar that everyone will be able to fill up a bag with.

I love that idea! Personal and useful too! We’re doing chocolate and caramel covered apples, we live in Williamsburg and in Colonial they have the Wythe candy store and I have to get one everytime we go to Colonial. 🙂 We’re also doing photostrips from the photobooth.

We’re doing a donation to a local Atlanta charity that I interned with and I’m passionate about. My other thought was to do peach jam. I was told by our planner to not do favors that aren’t edible- she said she’s the one who has to clean them all up and trash them because people really don’t care.

@NCPwedding:  Brother-In-Law let us use his photobooth at our wedding (he has a carnival themed catering/amusement company), so the pictures were our favors.
