@secondchances: Hehe, don’t worry, I have a live tree and a scent-see thingy to help me along. I am baking challengaged and burn things a lot (especially cookies, I have been having a very hard time with cookies lately). Also, I’m a salt person, not a sugar person so I don’t really like eating sweets that much either.

@secondchances: french macaroons are little sandwich cookies with a characteristic “foot” on each half that are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside of the cookie. They are pretty light and you can do all sorts of colors and flavors

I’ve seen so many yummy concoctions on Pinterest! But I don’t really have the equipment yet for a cookie baking extravaganza. Always used to go to my aunt’s with my mom, grandma, and cousin to do christmas cookie baking and I missed it this year since I moved away 🙁

oh man reading this post is getting me excited for holiday baking.
I always make Gingerbread, Lindzer tarts, Sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, pb blossoms and assorted biscotti. And then I try out 2-3 new recipes. Not sure which right now but if anyone would like to recommend a recipe with a link that would be awesome!
Oh and I make a huge gingerbread house every year and Stollen. yum.

@secondchances: These are pizzelles (not mine – I haven’t made them yet). They’re an Italian cookie made in a press, like waffles, and they’re a huge tradition in my family.

I haven’t even started my cookie list yet! Finals are in the way first. But I THINK the list will be:
Sugar cookies cut out as snowflakes, different sized, and decorated with royal (done every year)
Homemade marshmallows
A centerpiece 6″ cake (choc w/ red white and green filling, covered in ganache, with a fondant tree on top)
And one or two other cookies.
