I used to wear my hair really long with no layers. 3 months ago, I chopped 12 inches off (yes an entire ft of hair!!) for a donation. I wasn’t a huge fan of my short hair at first, but now that it’s been a few months I’m very happy with the length and cut.
What length do you like your hair? Did you ever do something drastic to change it? If you are growing it out for your wedding, are you going to cut it afterwards? Just for fun! Please share!

@diamondgal23: Right now I love having my hair short. Whenever it starts to get long (~near my shoulders) it starts driving me crazy and really getting in the way.

I like my hair quite long, past my shoulders, usually down to my chest, although it sometimes gets caught under my arms which is really annoying!
Once I had my hair almost to my waist, got it cut into an angled bob, longer in the front, shorter in the back, the back brushed the nape of my neck, the front was just an inch or two longer.

I love it either really short (pixie) or really long (past the shoulders). The in-the-middle bit is torture for me!

Long hair forever. I’ve always had short hair (above the shoulders and shorter), so when I finally grew it out, I realized how much better it looked and felt. I look awful with short hair, and my hair isn’t the right texture to wear any shorter than where it’s at now (approximately to the bottom of my shoulder blades).

My hair is down to the small of my back now and everyone wants to put layers in it but I am so not up for it, I’m not a girl girl, I can’t style it or anything so layers scare me. I have had it this long before and done the chop, but can’t stand it! Long hair forever for me!
I reserve the right to change my mind when I have kids…

Long. Everytime I cut my hair short I regret it and it just doesn’t look like my usual self. I love short hair on others though. So many cute styles! 🙂

Long hair. I look prettier and younger with longer hair. Short hair just is not flattering on me.

I’m wearing mine about bra-strap length at the moment and would like to go back to a mid-length. I love long hair but it isn’t practical when I’m working long hours.

I flit back and forth between short and long. It has become really long a few times – I’m just bad at remembering to cut it! It have extremely thick, wavy hair, and when it’s long (waist length ish), my hair looks awesome, but it doesn’t suit me (my face, body type etc), and it can be quite defining (I get known as the one with “the hair”), so I prefer it just below my shoulders. It’s just above at the moment.

I said in the middle- for me, it means shoulder length. It frames my face well when I wear it down and I can still put it up when I exercise.

I’ve had both – very short my senior year of college (above jaw-length) and I’ve spent the years after that growing it out. I’ve maintained a consistent long look since then, and keep it mid-back. I find longer hair is easier to pull back for my workouts, and I can do more with it. Plus, I just look terrible with short hair. I’m envious of ladies, like my mom, who can rock it.

I go back and forth. I’m currently growing out my post wedding chop to go back to long. 🙂

I like it long enough to put up in a proper high ponytail…any shorter and I find it actually gets MORE in the way because I can’t put it back and up if I want! I never understood people saying long hair gets in the way…whenever I have it short, I can’t get it away from my face when I want!

I like my hair a few inches past my shoulders. I also have alot of layers, and bangs and face framing layers so it doesnt get overwhelming.
