If life permits, we will be engaged within a year and married in 2. We agree on this and are working to make it happen

We looked at rings early last month, but because he was closing on a condo he wasn’t able to buy anything. He said this month is the month he wants to actually buy something and that we’ll be engaged by the end of the year! 🙂

I’m at the level where the ring is bought, and in the house. Somewhere. I think we’re still a month or so away (we’re going to his cousin’s wedding at the end of the month and don’t want to steal any thunder) but it’s driving me nuts. I’m seriously turning into a crazy person.

We’ve talked about being married within 2 or so years, and engaged “soon”. We haven’t gone ring shopping but we won’t; he has a family ring. He told me a couple of weeks ago he was going to start talking to his family about acquiring said ring and perhaps having me take a look at it before we get engaged so… I am thinking soon means within the next six months or so based on all of our conversations, how long we’d like to be engaged, etc…

He has stated that as long as things continue going the way that they are he could see us getting engaged within the next year.

From the very beginning of us dating he told me that he wanted to have children by 30 and it did not happen and he really would like to have a family started by 35. He is 33 soooo if he really feels the way that he claims to feel about me, and really wants a family by 35..well..

We’ve discussed getting married in a certain time frame (Hopefully, spring of 2016), he knows what ring he wants to get me, we’re going to get our ring fingers sized this month, and then i’m not going to discuss the topic with him again until he sees fit to propose. Which I believe may be anywhere from Christmas of this year, to the ending of the next.

HE brings up engagement, the wedding, marriage just as much as I do. We’ve been ring shopping and have picked out a design that will be custom made with a certain jeweller. He has the money for the depoist and is just waiting for some time off work in order to make it to the jewellers to put the depoist down and start the ring being made!!! I tried to convince him to take me, but he said no lol.

We know the timeline for engagement and that’s in about 2-2.5 years. If it happens before that I’ll be surprised. I want to get married in 2017.

We both want to get married in the month of September and undiscussed know it’s going to be September 2014. I’m starting to get nervous that I’ll be planning a wedding in 10-11 months time.

Last night he asked me what kind of ring I want and I’m starting to get nervous about timing! I guess it’s almost that time that my nails need to be done all the time and I’m going to start questioning any and all plans.

I chose ‘Other’. Discussed marriage and getting engaged on and off for about a year, more seriously in January this year and went ring shopping in mid-Feb. Neither of us are very traditional so we didn’t go the complete surprise route. I picked the ring, luckily SO approved. I tried on the ring in white gold but we ordered it in rose gold and an upgraded diamond. SO picked up the ring at the end of May and I have, with the greatest difficulty, stayed away from it! Since I haven’t seen the final product it’ll be somewhat of a surprise. We’re going away for a mini-vacation this weekend and he’ll be proposing sometime over the weekend:))

I… don’t know. He’s been saying November (our 8 year anniversary) for months now, and we’ve looked at rings, but nothing’s been purchased and I honestly think he will forget/back out/not order hte ring in time so… whatever. Little bit jaded over here!

Next month will be our 8 yr anniversary (we’ve been dating since I was a sophmore in HS) and we’ve definitely talked about getting married but I’m still in school so I dont want to get married until I’m settled and done with school. I think he might do it this yr… maybe early next. But I’m not in any rush, I’m pretty young and we are both happy with our strong relationship.

We went out ring shopping about a month ago, and I found a couple of jewellers and styles of rings that I liked. SO also told me that by tomorrow he will have enough money saved up to buy the ring! I think after tomorrow, it’ll be about 2 months until the proposal (but I’m not 100% sure).
