I’ve gone through so many phases where I detested this whole process and deeply regretted that we ever got engaged. Ironically, as my fiance liked to mention, I was the one who proposed to him. This didn’t help. What did help was finding a few moments which I can look forward to for the next six months; thinking of them I feel like I can suffer through the other parts. So here are mine, and I’d like to hear yours.
-Having a good-old-fashioned X-rated college party with all my friends
-Seeing myself all laced into my GORGEOUS wedding dress with my great-grandmother’s bracelet and then crying with my mother over it all
-Doing a first look with my fiance
-Taking a shot with my bridesmaids before going down the 46 steps to the pathway to the altar
-Destroying my dress, probably by rolling in the grass with my new husband

I’m looking forward to being able to change my name and relationship status on facebook as silly as it sounds. 🙂
And for being able to call him my husband around everyone (we’ve been semi-secretly legally married for 2 and a half weeks).
For being able to eat mac n cheese at my reception.
Lots of cute pictures with my husband and daughter. 🙂
Being able to dress up with my daughter.

Thank for making me focus on the good stuff. My wedding is a week and a half away and parts of this process have just been hell.
I am so looking forward to it, but the moment I am looking forward to the most is catching his eyes for the first time while walking up the aisle.
I’m also looking forward to exchanging the vows – saying those words.

@beedawi: Wow that is close. Good luck! I know they always say that something will go wrong, no matter what, but I hope that for you it’s something unimportant. Are you writing your own vows?

@glittermoon: Ooooh you’re having mac n cheese? That sounds absolutely delicious. Are you doing a potluck reception or is it just a casual venue?
