To me, it’s hard to articulate what makes a Bridesmaid or Best Man dress a Bridesmaid or Best Man dress (or similarly, a prom dress a prom dress).  It’s more of an “I know it when I see it” kind of thing.  I think removing the sash and modifying the neckline will help, and from that point I think it’s just a matter of accessorizing it with belt, shoes, and jewelry – using less formal and possibly even edgier accessories will take away the formal feeling of the dress and make it into more of a party dress.

I think that dress is perfect as is!

Honestly I think some unconventional dress choices were some of the best bm dresses I’ve seen! I don’t think there are any rules…as long as the dress isn’t too “clubby.” lol

I think a Bridesmaid or Best Man dress is a dress on a BM! 🙂 Silliness aside, I think the dress is great. Personally I wouldn’t bother with many alterations for a Bridesmaid or Best Man dress. There are so many options! Good luck!! 🙂

I would get rid of the sash and/or flower.  Those scream bridesmaid to me.  Otherwise, I think it looks great!
