    If we’re talking only about size and what I think based on what I see where I live/family/friends/etc: .75-1.25 seems about average for a center stone. Anything smaller than that I’d say was small, anything bigger than that I’d say was big. But as other girls have said, I’d take a smaller sparkly stone over a bigger dull stone any day 🙂

    Around here, anything a carat and above is considered very large, but I know in other areas 1ct is considered average. I think it’s definitely a regional thing.

    Personally, I think anything over a carat is “big” and anything over 2ct is “huge”.
