Stick with dresses designed for weddings

Brides should wear whatever they want

    I'm not sure

It depends on the dress (I've seen crazy things which I'll share)

I wish I could wear this in black with champagne underneath! Any pics of brides in black?

I went to a friend’s wedding and she was in a teal t-length polka-dot dress with red shoes and accessories. Her groom work teal pans and suspenders. It was awesome and everyone loved it!! It’s your wedding, don’t forget that, wear whatever the heck you want!

@Regina Phalange:  I’ve reworn mine in one form once so far and intend to wear the two other versions over Christmas and New Year. It may not be white but one version is a big ballgown.

Whatever dress a bride wears is a wedding dress. Plenty of women in the past got married in whatever they had to hand (or the best they could afford). The big white dress was a Victorian fashion that only really pervaded beyond the upper and upper-middle classes after WWII.

I think you should get “whatever floats your boat” but I have to say I had to google the word Quinceanera to find out what those dresses were all about and now I wish I was latino, I would have totally loved to have had a dress like that when I was 16

A wedding dress should be something that you love and something that you feel beautiful in- of course that is different with everybody so the dresses will be different depending.

I’m wearing a Sue Wong evening gown. The fact that it’s literally just not labeled a “wedding dress” cut the price down to half it would normally sell for. (It was $600) The Wedding industry is WACK!!!!

@LadyElva:  everything will look dated unless you go with a jackie o or audrey hepburn type dress
