I just got engaged this weekend, and have finally had time to start thinking about the wedding. Before I start looking at anything though, I was hoping people could let me know what to look for, as I have no experience with this myself! 🙂
What exactly makes a perfect wedding, and makes it successful? There’s just so much I don’t know where to start, so your opinions and experience will surely help.

Congratulations on getting engaged and welcome to weddingbee! In my opinion, a successful and “perfect” wedding is one where you have the happiest day of your life! 🙂 I know, it’s cliche, but in a way it’s true. The easiest way to start is to start flipping through magazines and looking through inspiration boards (I like perfectpalette.com) and just browsing wedding websites to figure out what kinds of styles you like and work from there!
Happy wedding planning!

Perfect wedding day = perfect groom!
Seriously, in the end, I didn’t care about any of the details that I was so worried about.

My perfect day is marrying my Fiance in front of our friends and family. That’s all that matters.

no seriously the key to a good wedding is Hiring an awesome dj. I hired the best dj in town and honestly normally only the young stay to dance… here even my great aunts didnt want to leave because the music was soooooooooo good.
yes it is important that you marry the man of your dream…. But in the end if the music is good it will be amazing because people will be happier looser… it will set the tone for the night.

We didn’t have dancing other than our first dance or a DJ, and our day was perfect.
OP, it’s not about how much money you spend or what appetizers, flowers, cake etc that you end up with. On the actual day, those details pale in comparison to actually marrying the man that you love. I won’t remember tiny details from the wedding forever, but I will always remember the way I felt when my husband looked at me and the love between us.

we didnt have dancing at our civil wedding we only had close family. And it was amazing. I agree. But OP s question is how to achieve success….. My big wedding….. People still talk about it…. it was the DJ. That is my advice to her if she is going to spend to spend on a really good dj

As cheeseball as it may sound, the key to a perfect wedding is focusing on the only thing that really matters: you get to marry the person you love.
Somehting will go wrong…something always does…but honestly, no one will remember it. Focus on the things you can control: how much YOU enjoy the day. The rest will fall into place.
