My gown has a cathedral length train. I know a lot of brides would never go for a dress of this size but I wanted something with a lot of drama. I wanted a serious wedding gown and I got it.

Im planning on having a dress custom built out of a few differnt dresses. It will be all chiffon. The top will have a pleated bust with loose off the shoulder straps as well as some spahegetti straps to keep it up. then it will be slim through the tummy area with beading on it with a long flowy chapel train.

@Treejewel19:  Your gown is one of the ones that I saw here which made me re-think my previous aversion to ballgowns. And since I will now be wearing a ballgown to my wedding, I should probably thank you.

@chicbride14:  You’re giving me major dress envy Tongue Out

My wedding gown will be unique because it will be red – and we all know that coloured wedding dresses are still uncommon – and it will has been specially designed for me by the wonderful Michi Calica and will be custom made to my measurements.

i believe it is the details on the dress that make every dress unique. Try to be different, but you have to make sure it’s simple. For me, too complicated things would add negative effect.

Honestly the only unique thing about mine is those little horizontal accents, but those are what MADE the dress for me.

Admittedly, I need to lose about 10-15 lbs and it needs to be altered (I couldn’t even do it up when I tried it on), but it was discontinued and super unique, so I had to say yes ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m thinking of doing a corset back as it’s just a plain zipper and it may spice it up a bit.

What makes mine unique I think is I haven’t seen too many brides with this dress. I have seen 2 other bees and one of them is in Africa.  Its all over beaded embellished lace with ruching which I haven’t seen too many lace dresses that have ruching. When I imagined my wedding day I pictured myself in a ball gown. During my shopping I was coaxed into trying on this dress and once it was on that was it for me. I felt sexy and beautiful and didn’t want to take it off lol. Definitely not what I pictured for myself.

Mine is white and yellow and it’s a high-low hem. ๐Ÿ™‚

My dress is unique because of the detailing on the dress. I’ve never seen pink flower appliques on a dress like this before. And I only a couple of other bees who have this dress and one who has a similar dress.

Not sure if anyone else has this dress? I love the bodice. Definitely eye-catching. I wanted lots of bling, but I wanted it to look elegant, and I got it!

Only thing is, the skirt is kinda plain, and I’m thinking of putting layers of skirt or crinoline underneath to make it into a poofier A-line. There’s definitely room to allow it, but it’s only 2-3 layers of fabric, including the chiffon on top.

Do you think I could pull it off and make it look seamless, or would it look bad?

My dress is unique because i bought it for it’s simplicity (plane ivory shantung taffeta) but recently decided that i didn’t like the pleats in the bust! So i ripped it apart and am currently in the process of reconstructing it to make it all my own. I also made my own belt to wear with it out of organza ribbon, lace, and swaravski crystals. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ll post pics once it’s done!

@Miss Circe:  Wow! Sigh, yes I love my dress. I wish I had another reason to wear it!  I am glad I could lead you to a ballgown, they truly are spectacular. Your dress design is gorgeous and I can’t wait to see the finished product. ๐Ÿ™‚

What makes my dress “different”, IMO, is the applique ๐Ÿ™‚

Excuses the giant photo….but my dress is unique because…well obvious reasons I believe, it’s short, it has a weird fun skirt with things on it…I love it!
