@MeiFrancis:  Thanks to your picture I have now added that dress to my “must try on” list. It’s amazing.

@newcitylights:  thanks! I love it too- depending on what size you are, don’t be discoraged by the sample. It looks awesome when the mermaid is tight on the bottom, but when I tried on the sample it didn’t wow me because it was too loose and looked more like a sheath. Keep that in mind when you try it on! Idk where in PA you are and how easy it will be to find, but they should be able to get this dress at the Elizabeth Johns in Ardmore if they don’t have it, since they have it in their NJ store.

I think the shoulder strap on mine is pretty unique!

My dress was unique because it wasn’t the ever so popular mermaid shape, no blingy belt, or lace. It was also very light despite its shape and very comfortable. It was also unique because the skirt was a custom change through Paloma Blanca. The standard skirt was silk not tulle.

@lealorali:  OOo love it! Very cool, 20’s-inspired beading!

I think mine is unique because…well… its 100% custom order so there will literally not be another one like it.  All of the designers dresses are hand-made for each order specifically, so I won’t need to get it altered (hopefully!)  This is the basic inspiration:

but I’m adding sheer cap sleeves, making it slightly more a-line versus so tight in the hips (I am very pear-shaped!) having her make more beige in the skirt and raising the colors up another two rows on bottom as well in colors to match this bouquet (similar colors actually.)

I also asked her to add a modesty panel to the corset back because I don’t want to end up looking like a tied up pork loin with all my backfat poking out.

@MeiFrancis:  Ha! That’s funny. The lace is very similar. along the hemline 🙂

Mine is unique in that it is an all lace ballgown (and you don’t see a ton of those imho)….not some lace, ALL lace from the neckline to the train. I actually had purchased a sparkly belt to wear with it, but at my fitting today I realized that between the intricate lace and the subtle sparkle on the bodice (irridescent sequins) it truly doesn’t need anything added to it except maybe a simple ribbon (TBD later lol).

I adore my gown, …and I’ve only seen pics of one other bride online (in another country) in it…

Mine is backless and has light-brown coloured flowers appliqued on it, as seen on this model:
