I very highly recommend Better Than Sex by Too Faced. It’s available at Sephora. My fiance got it for me for Christmas because I really wanted to try it. It was something like $23 for the mascara, but it’s 100% worth it. I have long lashes as it is, but this takes them to a new level. I’ve never been so pleased with a mascara in my life. I’ll never use another mascara as long as this is around.

After like 20 years of trying different mascaras….L’Oreal Telescopic is my holy grail (at least until I discover something better!). It’s amazing for my short and sparse lashes, especially because the brush is designed like a comb with “teeth” that catches all the lashes.

IzzyBear:  I use this too and I love the way it makes my lashes look! But I find the brush is so like…big and wide or something that it’s so easy to get all over my eyelids. Does this happen to you?

I do have long lashes, so i’ve liked almost all mascaras on me….I previously used Benefits yes they’re real, which I also liked how they made my lashes look, but this one was so hard to get off. I’d not wear makeup for 3 days and still be able to rub mascara off lol.

Ohhavok:  it does take some getting used to. I still have days where I’m not being careful and it gets on my lids. I just use a dry q-tip to remove it once it’s dried. To be fair, I have this issue with most mascara because I coat the shit out of my blonde, dinky lashes.

Are you blinking as you’re swiping on the mascara? I’ve found this increases your chances of getting some on your lid.

IzzyBear:  Nope, I don’t blink while i’m doing it…I’m like you lol, I coat the shit out of my lashes too. They’re black, but I like them long, thick, and dark as hell. I put the brush at the veryyyyy base of my lashes (which is how it gets most messy) and then zig zag my way up. I also just use a qtip to clean it up, but i’ve never had to do that with any other mascaras, so I feel like a 12 year old doing it all sloppy for the first time haha 🙂

milabeehappy:  I’ve seriously tried every single high end mascara that’s hit the market. I’m always looking for the best one and for some reason I always just end up back with L’Oreal Voluminous.

I try the expensive ones and then realize they’re still not as good as the drug store L’Oreal one. Plus two other bees on here have already said it so you know it’s a good one

chigirl217bride:  Yesssss.  This is my absolutely favorite as well!  I swear by Lights, Camera, Flashes after trying more mascaras than I can count.  People ask me what I use all the time.

Drugstore – Covergirl Full Lash Bloom.

Higher End – Buxom – the regular brand.

I have freaking long lashes, so these work get to add volume, and to keep a curl.

milabeehappy:  It was probably a bad batch as I’ve had times where a tube will dry up fast and times that it lasted months. I guess that’s the chance you take when it’s only like $8 compared to the higher end mascaras that are 25-30. I will say that I use the original one most (not the newer ones with plastic bristles). It’s just a plain black tube with gold “L’Oreal” written on it and I find it does better than the newer versions

milabeehappy:  I use Tarte’s Lights Camera Lashes. It is the BEST mascara I have ever had. It costs a bit more (around $23 USD) but it lasts me three times as long as any drugstore brand, and it gives me that fanned lash look with zero clumps. It also softens my eyelashes!! I can’t say enough good things about this mascara. I am a mascara fiend and this one will always be my favorite!
