Everyday drugstore brand – Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes

Special occasion when I really want my eyes to pop brand – Superhero by It Cosmetics (I get it from Ulta)

Superhero is honestly too much for everyday use for me.  I have pretty long lashes as it is, so when I use this on a normal day (when I only put on face powder and mascara) it’s just too much. However, when I do the whole she-bang (eye shadow, eyeliner, etc) Superhero completes the look wonderfully.  It does some serious volumizing, so I highly recommend it.

Ohhavok:  hahah. I think it just takes some getting used to since the brush is so big. I always have trouble getting my outside lashes without getting it on my lids. I definitely feel like I’ve mastered it over time though. It’s a little annoying but I love the mascara because it makes me lashes look amazing.

I second (third? ) on Loreal Voluminous. Most mascara doesn’t stick to my eyelashes for some reason, but two coats of this cheapie makes my lashes giant and thick

heputaringonit:  I’m going to try this! I get raccoon eyes from everything except for the type of mascara that creates a tube around each lash. Problem is, tubular mascara doesn’t really volumize that well.

Bourjois Liner Effect black, I bought the waterproof version too for my wedding. It’s a two sided brush, one side with really short bristles to get right at the lash base. I’ve been using it for ages, does what it says on the tin (tube).

I have tried many different mascaras – from cheap to expensive and everything in between. For some reason, I have a problem with mascara flaking off my lashes and into my eyes.

I finally found one I love. Tarte’s “Lights, Cameras, Flashes” (gold tube). And as a bonus, Tarte is a cruelty free brand 🙂

If you know anyone that sells younique, I love their 3D mascara. I have very small eyelashes, so it helps them to look longer and have more volume. Its $29.

I’m too cheap to buy high end mascara, so I can only give my opinion on drugstore products. My personal favorite is Maybelline Lash Sensational in black. It gives me great length and volume, holds a curl all day, and doesn’t smudge. My second recommendation would be Maybelline Falsies The Rocket. It gives slightly more volume than Lash Sensational but it does smudge a bit throughout the day.

milabeehappy:  I live by this stuff. I haven’t used any other mascara for so many years.

I’ve had random people come up and compliment my eyelashes (which naturally are pretty much nonexistent) and even ask if I’m wearing falsies.

I’m an odd one out, I swear by Maybelline Lash Stiletto! I love it becuase it’s mostly lengthening and the bristles are so tiny that It doesn’t clump no matter how much I put on. I’m not a fan of volume so I just want length and definition. I also make a mess all over my eyelids since I put on so much so it needs to be dry enough to wipe off easily with a q-tip, it’s just part of my routine to go back and clean it up before doing eyeshadow/liner. It does flake a little but that’s the price of being easy to wipe off.

I think it’s being discontinued because it’s getting super hard to find and I’m kind of having a panic moment about it- I’ve been using it for 10 years and have hated all the others I’ve tried, including the big name ones everyone raves about. The only other one I own is Urban Decay perversion that I sometimes layer over my maybelline if I want a little more dramatic effect but it’s not legthening enough on its own.
