Mr. CB and I made some great moose chili one year – his uncle had a freezer full of moose from a friend who actually went out and hunted it. I felt a little guilty for the poor moose, but it was an amazing chili. ๐Ÿ™‚

A ton of the above, plus some more exotic ones–while we were in Africa, we tried warthog (veeery yummy), springbok, and kudu (which are both venison-y, like game meats).

@Koala Bear What part of the shark did you eat?  I’ve read that shark fin is very dangerous to eat because it is loaded with mercury at very high levels, more than any other fish.

I have eaten bear, but I didn’t really care for it.  I ate rattlesnake, turtle, and kangaroo all in the same night (restaurant that served exotic meats)…also didn’t really care for any of them.

Venison is a given where I’m from.  Everyone knows someone who has gotten a deer during the season, and there’s always extra meat to give away.

I have eaten all the meats except for snake on the list. My great grandmother also use to make a beaver stew that was pretty good, and my dad grew up eating porcupine! I’ve never been that brave! I’m sure there a few other meats I’ve tried and just can’t remember!

Edit: Out of all the usual game meats (Moose, deer, elk, ect) bear is my favorite! Around the holidays we always have bear meatballs, and chili!

I have a very wide palette so have tried most of these.

Chicken, turkey, beef, bison (only in burger form), pork are all readily available.
Lamb is sooo good when cooked properly. Most people overcook adn dry out lamb.
Rabbit, my older brother makes a really good rabbit stew.
Duck: duck confit, sooo good, Chinese butchers have many forms of duck that I miss so much besides Peking Duck!!!
Deer, venison meat is so awesome.
    Frog, I love frog legs!
    Turtle, only in soup form.
No snake but yes on eel, I Love it when my mom makes a eel steamed with her homemade rice wine.
Quail is very common in Chinese cuisine as well especially at weddings because they signify peace.
My brother & SIL tried crocodile in Malaysia and said it was very chewy!

Given that I was a vegetarian for 10 years and only started eating meat again a year ago… I’m happy to say that I checked off half of the list! To be fair, I just had alligator on Sunday… but it counts!

I checked everything except bear and rabbit, though I wouldn’t be against trying those.

I did check other.  My “other” consists of horse, shark/stingray/lots of weird types of seafood, and…  whale.  Before you all hate me, please note that I didn’t know what the whale was before I ate it.  I’m sad to say that it was some of the most delicious stuff I’ve ever had.
