I LOVE bison burgers… mmm… and chicken is still my favorite.

I ate cow tongue at FI’s family picnic 2 summers ago…. and I about threw up.  I love most meat, but the ‘weird’ parts like liver, heart, brain, etc… gross me out.  Fiance likes cow heart though… good for him!

@tinylittlebird: Me too. My dad used to bring home all kinds of meat and tell me it was beef or chicken. He tricked me! Eventually I learned to tell the difference. I don’t like venison, but the moose sausage my dad had the butcher make was really good!

I have accidentally eaten deer.  Once.  I will never do so again.  I probably wouldn’t be so opposed to it, but Uncle the Hunter scarred me on that one pretty young.

I was dating a guy a few years ago… I was a chicken and steak only type of girl back then… and on the night he first introduced me to his mother, she made a lamb roast.  I couldn’t NOT eat it.  And then I loved it :-X  That lead to duck, and then goat as a delicacy in the Virgin Islands…

And now I’ll give just about anything a try, at least once.

@juhneenee: Awww… that makes me so sad that your uncle gave you reason not to like it… Venison (deer meat) is one of my favorite meats of all! My dad makes the most AMAZING venison meatballs with apple butter… Oh my word, I can’t describe how good they are.

He has made them with beef before, but they just do not taste the same.

Also, venison is a very healthy, lean meat!
