    • Wedding: January 2014

January 2014. Not sure on exact date. We chose this because I finish uni in December 2013, and we want to get married and get my spousal visa as soon as possible so I can move.

Hopefully April – our dating anniversary is on April 24, and by the time we marry, we’ll be dating long enough that I wouldn’t want to change the date. I’m sentimental like that. ๐Ÿ™‚

If not, then I would like a winter wedding, mostly because of the potential for stoles and fur cloaks (sooo pretty!), and because DBF and I prefer the cold.

    • Wedding: September 2014

We chose September. In a way, this is totally crazy for me since I’m a teacher and the beginning of the year is draining/hectic/unsettled, but…I love fall, I wanted relatively warm weather so we could do an outdoor ceremony, but not hot weather, and I also figured myself and my bridesmaids would still have leftover tan from summer ๐Ÿ˜‰

Originally I wanted September, which would be a spring wedding for us. Also, our dating anniversary is March, FI’s birthday is June and mine is December, so my nerdy self thought it would be cool to have something to celebrate every 3 months. Also I’d wanted something between the 12th and 18th to fit in with those 3. No pressure…

Now I have no idea. Starting to think we’ll never get married…

    • Wedding: June 2013

I’m a June bride.  We knew we wanted summer of this year, and after we crossed off dates that absolutely didn’t work for immediate family (graduate school and babies) we were left with June!  So the month & date picked themselves, but I’m absolutely loving it!

I’m superstitious. April is a good month to get married in as it rcancels out getting married on a saturday. The day just fitted, nothing special about it.

    • Wedding: August 2014

We didn’t really have an anniversary date so we chose it based on elimination. Couldn’t do March or October because of music festivals. And his siblings were married in other months. Came down to April or August, and ultimately we chose August because it had the least about of holidays.

November 2ed! Off season so prices are less. I always liked branch centerpieces, so we are going for the bare tree look and the reception site has a fireplace we can have going. These seemed to fit November to me

We first chose August as we have friends getting married in June and wanted give them their time in the soptlight, but my Mum has just reminded me that August will be the school hoildays so we have now decided on the first week of septmber that way our honeymoon will be when the children have gone back to school and so will be quieter x

We chose May! We went with Memorial Day Weekend (even though I’m usually iffy on ‘holiday’ weddings) because it worked with my mom’s schedule, it gives our guests time to travel (we’re having it that Sunday, and half our guests are traveling from Boston to NJ),and our venue gives you the whole weekend to plan/set-up/etc. Also, late May in NJ means it’s usually quite nice for an outdoor ceremony/cocktail hour ๐Ÿ™‚

Living in Fl. It’s always very hot here. Originally I wanted to be a June bride but its too hot for that here. So I went with November because I love the fall and the colors are gorgeous.

We chose April 6 because it was closest to our dating anniversary. April 2 was a monday so we went with April 6 since it was a Friday ๐Ÿ™‚

We chose June 29 because I am a teacher, and at that point, I’ll have been done with school for a few weeks…and I’ll be able to focus “full time” on my wedding.  It is also that weekend that starts my FI’s 2 weeks off for Groomsmen shut down.  Just being practical!!
