Being able to wear anything in my closet.  When I find myself wearing the same loose/flowy tops all the time and staying away from certain pairs of jeans, I know it is time to get my ass in gear.

s2bmrscook:  Did you lose that weight via lifting and minimal cardio?  Can you share a sampling of what your diet looked like throughout that process?  You look amazing!

Losing weight just feels good obviously because it puts me in a healthier state but also because I love the way I look more when the weight is off of me.  Plus, I have the most adorable clothes in sizes for my optimal weight.  If I gain more I can’t wear them and that makes me sad. LOL! Seriously, I will do what I must to be as healthy as I can.  For me staying as lean as I can is healthier for me.  When my weight is higher I start hitting border line this and that which is evident in bloodwork during my physicals.

barnes66:  feeling good and mitigating stress is mainly what motivates me. if I can’t work out for a few days, I get antsy.  I’m also scared of turing out like my mom (who can barely walk a mile now) so I want to maintain good physical health for the future.

I’m not trying to be super skinny, I just want to stay healthy.

Another in the vanity camp, I wanna look good in my wedding pictures!! Although I will say, eating healthy and working out feels sooo good! I love not being so out of breath when i jog up stairs. I love being able to spring out of bed. I just have more energy! It’s a great feeling, and I know I want my body to be at the best shape ever before I start having kids. I would also love to fit in all my smaller clothes I refuse to part with.

KitSnicket:  Absolutely! Every bit of progress was achieved with a mostly-lifting-minimal-cardio combo. Now that I’m getting closer to my competition and summer time, I’ve upped the intensity of my cardio but not the frequency. Right now, this is what my diet is *supposed* to look like. My coach gave me my macros so I will change things up for a break from monotony.

Meal 1: 3 egg whites, 1 whole egg, 1/2 cup berries (or 1/2 banana or 1/2 Apple)

Meal 2: 3 oz chicken or turkey, 1 cup greens

Meal 3: 3 oz chicken or turkey, 5 oz sweet potato

Meal 4: (post workout meal) protein shake with 1.5 scoops protein, 1 banana

Meal 5: 4 oz salmon or tuna, 6 oz sweet potato

Meal 6: 3 egg whites, 1 whole egg, 1/2 avocado
