I’m gonna preface this with: this is really stupid. I know this.
When I was in college, we watched Rambo and had to write our thoughts, in real time, while watching the movie. I wrote “When does he start boxing?” (I mixed Rambo up with Rocky!) I was super confused for longer than I care to admit.
Not my finest moment.

Yes. First of all there was a lot of sexual scenes. Is that supposed to be a symbolism/theme for something else? I’m not sure if he was really being followed in the film by men after he crashed that secret party in the mansion or was it just his paranoid imagination? I feel like there were so many secret meanings that you have to catch it yourself.
I have not seen Vanilla Sky but I’ve heard people who saw it say it was difficult to understand as well.

When you said The Lighthouse, I thought for a moment it was The Lakehouse. I get the plot of the movie but it was getting confusing to watch because scenes were going back and forth between 2004 and 2006… the years when the 2 characters lived.

I never finished it. It’s hard for me to follow because I lack a strong understanding of the Bible. I need to rewatch it. What I saw was fantastic, but definitely something I need to rewatch several times.

I’m rewatching the entire movie again this weekend. Cannot believe it!! I’ve been duped 😱

I remember that movie! Yes, I also have no idea what it was about either

I asked my SO this same question. Inception was one of the movies he said too.

That movie was weird and dumb. Husband watched it and the whole movie was like WTF?

I understand the movie now but when I watched The Sixth Sense I had to see it twice to get that Bruce Willis was dead the whole time…I guess I didn’t pay enough attention the first time lol

I walked out of Vanilla Sky in the theater.

Inception drove me mad, i hated it! Didnt understand any of it.
But oddly enough, i looove sucker punch, which i think follows the same idea. Sucker punch is an amazing movie, and now i wanna watch it LOL.

Arrival… I’ve watched it a few times and I feel like I know what it’s about but just can’t get my mind to accept it.

Inception and Memento. I’ve seen Memento enough times now that I think I finally understand it (though every time I watch it, I notice a new detail that I missed before). But I don’t think I’ll ever fully understand Inception. I get the gist of what happened, but I can never keep track of the levels and which character’s dream they’re in at any given time.

I can not figure out how gravity pertains to the space/time continuum. Just not getting it..

I forgot to mention Mullholland Drive (not to be confused with Mullholand Falls). That’s probably the most bizarre movie I have seen. The whole movie, it’s often that some consecutive scenes have absolutely nothing to do with each other. Just random scenes played one after the other. Meanwhile, will leave you asking what is that supposed to mean? What happened? What was the purpose of that? Then that scene is never visited again or explained later on in the story.
