“Melancholia” is it that movie with Kirsten Dunst as a bride? If yes, I saw small parts of it but didn’t finish.

@tess90: The Lobster was just fucking odd haha. One of those artsy films I have no intention of watching again. Same with Killing of a Sacred Deer (same director) – it’s like those movies aren’t even made by a human. As if an alien watched humans for a day, and then decided to make a movie about them. Such a disconnect.
@hikingbride: bruh I literally watched Inception a few weeks ago but have never heard that theory! Now I have to watch it again, lol.
I don’t think anyone watches Mad Max (and it’s sequels) for any kind of coherant plotline. It’s like a 5 year old was like “I like trucks” and then his dad was like “ok let’s make a movie about trucks” and then that’s the movie.
For me, Memento, Midsommar, Interstellar took me a few goes, The Lobster, 2001 a space Odyssey (basically anything by Kubrick).
Oh, and Requiem for a Dream: not confusing, but messed me up real good and I’ve never quite recovered. How Ellen Burstyn didn’t win the Oscar I’ll never know. Beat out by Erin Brockovich. ERIN BROCKOVICH PEOPLE.

You mentioned Kubrick. What was your interpretation of Eyes Wide Shut? That movie baffles me because I think it has themes and hidden meanings which I failed to see.

I feel like that movie was so wasted! It started out good and then didn’t quite get anywhere.

Omg, right? You should see Greener Grass on Hulu. Kinda sorta-ish similar premise but much funnier and poignant.

in Inception, I remember reading that while dreaming, Leonardo’s character was wearing his wedding ring because his dreams were still so attached to his wife and in real life he was not wearing it…. and apparently in the final scene there was no wedding ring.
My confusing movie: The Room! Classic one that is so bad that it’s good 😀

I totally didn’t even know there were multiple movies named that, I’m not much of a movie person at all. The one I I unfortunately watched was actually called Mad Max Fury Road. Sorry for the confusion everyone!!
