lol, wow… I love this thread

I love all types of music and I am a HUGE fan of anything 80’s!!

As long as I have a good bit of 80’s, a few good slow songs (modern today hits), and good fast dance songs that I can groove to I’m ok.  Just NO RAP or songs with curse words other than “damn” haha

And my gosh I LOVE ME SOME CLARENCE CARTER hahaha

Steel Drum music, Kenny Chesney, and Jimmy Buffet!!!! I hate him. We live in a beach community in FL and my job plays this crap annoyingly on an everyday basis. UGH

@JuniperSage:

@JuniperSage:  please, please, PLEASE get a DJ. The music is what makes the party. And you want it to be jumping for aweddimg, not a nursing home lol

@Juliepants:  OMG I legit just LOL’d at your suggestion of “Move Bitch” that made my night! haha

I agree with a lot of you with the do not plays. But, I’d like to add “Call me maybe” by Carly Rae Jepson. Yes, it’s catchy and yes I know all the words but I just can’t get behind a “singer” who was “discovered” by Justin Bieber. Sorry. Can’t do it.

And anything by LMFAO… they just irritate me. Party Rock Anthem makes me want to vom.

GoGo music. Yes I know the Godfather of GoGo just died and all but I CAN’T STAND it.  I’m originally from NYC and when I first moved here and heard gogo music I was like “WHAT THE HECK IS THAT???” Nails on a chalkboard.

Fiance doesn’t like reggaeton which sucks becasue I’m Hispanic and LOVE it. But he likes gogo so it’s an even swap.

I want the line dances but the newer ones like Cupid Shuffle, the Wobble. No Macarena, chicken dance, electric slide.

We want 80’s and 90’s r&B & hip-hop, some latin, some reggae.

Absolutely NO firetruckin’ cupid shuffle or cha-cha slide. I will lose it. I’m fine with YMCA and the electric slide, but those are the only two “group” dances I’ll really say yes to.

The Macarena, Chicken Dance, Electric Slide, Achy Breaky Heart, YMCA, and any kind of gangster rap.  Minimal country music too!  Oh and I hate that Mambo #5 song by Lou whatshisname.  Blech!

We basically don’t want to hear anything that was produced after 1990…bring on the classic rock and old school Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, etc.

Celebrate by Kool and the Gang, We Are Family by Sisters Sledge, YMCA, and none of the other bad cheesy rock or pop songs that people play to be ironic or funny or whatever. NONE.
