i am throwing around having our violist play Rascal Flatts version of "Broken Road".

my fi had this same violist (friend) play this for the proposal. i am not super in love with the idea but its sentimental, yanno?

otherwise it will be a non traditional song, which played on the viola should sound very pretty.

The bridal party and I walked down to the same song. "Somewhere over the Rainbow" sung by Iz. It’s the song at the end of the movie "50 first dates".

La Grâce – Georg Philipp Telemann

You can find the music on this site.

(It’s under ‘seating of the parents’- Instrumental) .

We’re having a Catholic wedding so our choices were limited, but I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it. We’ll have a trumpet and organ, so it will be the same instrumentation you can hear at the link above.

I wanted a moving processional, but one that wasn’t done often. La Grace is perfect.

There’s an organ-only version on YouTube, but I like it best with the trumpet.

"All is full of Love" by Bjork

and possibly an instrumental interpretation if my string quartet can learn it and it sounds good.

Nothing is set in stone, but here is the plan so far:

Two friends of mine will sing "Soul Meets Body" (Death Cab for Cutie) right after everyone is seated and before the procession.  The procession will be to an instrumental piano version of "Unchained Melody"  (Rightous Brothers) and I will walk to an instrumental piano verison of "She’s Got a Way" (Billy Joel).

We’re walking away from the alter to Pete Townsend’s "Let my love open the dorr. UNLESS I can find a slower, acoustic version.  If I am able to, it will be our first dance. :0)

We are having a Catholic wedding but our priest is pretty leniant w/ music.  Our friend/soloist is working on a version of "’Til Kingdom Come" by Coldplay for the processional.  It’s rather long so I am thinking about using it for the bridal party plus my father and I.  The music is a work in process…

We really wanted beautiful music but not your typical fare.  So we went with stringed quartet versions of different rock-n-roll music.  sounds strange but it was amazing and can’t tell you how many times we heard, "Where can I get your wedding soundtrack! Amazing music!"  The song that i walkd down th aisle to was Deftones, Knife Party…nothing to do with weddings but the stringed quartet version was so beautiful and had a feeling of anticipation and excitement that conveyed how I felt at that very moment.
