@jennybarnard did you go to nrhs? your name seems so familiar.
we’re getting married at an old town hall in alexandria! my folks live there, it’s SUPER inexpensive, has a very cool rustic charm – inside for the reception, and a lovely new gazebo – outside for the ceremony! i’m very excited to have a rustic, DIY, folksy wedding… but planning it from CA has been a nightmare! ugh. no worries, less than 4 months and i’ll be a mrs!

Well, we finally found a place, of course it’s in MA not New Husband, but only 45 min from Manchester – it’s the Bayside of Nahant, and fit our budget and our desire to be near the water! Our ceremony is at Bailey’s Hill Park, overlooking Nahant Bay, and then a half mile down the street is the Bayside for our reception – it sits out over the bay and is surrounded by water on three sides, with windows all around!

I also found a great makeup artist who’s local too! Her name is Ella Schwotzer and she did my trial AND my makeup for my boudoir shoot. What a great job!

We are looking into some different New Husband venues so I love this thread. Top of my list is Curtis Farm in Wilton… anyone have any experience with this place? I really love it, but I don’t know the area AT ALL.

We are considering that location. It is so beautiful! I wanted to ask how many guests you are having? The website says they can accomodate 120 but I don’t want to SQUEEEEZE everyone in! Just curious what your thoughts were 🙂 Thanks and CONGRATS!

Granite Rose is gorgeous and the staff has been fantastic, we went to a food tasting and there were tons of people there but the coordinators went up to each couple asked about questions, concerns, if they were enjoying themselves. The wait staff was awesome, we got to talk to the chef and just overall had an amazing time. I’ll post pictures after our July 4th wedding, but I couldn’t be happier and even though we didn’t get the vendor package (looking back we probably should have) we ended up going with their recommended florist and DJ cause they have been awesome to work with as well. Suzanne’s is awesome!!!! And we were floored by Main Event. We didn’t end up using the bakery (I’m obsessed with Fredericks) or the Limo Company (we are likely going with Grace) but I really recommend checking them out. The gardens are gorgeous the rooms are amazing and my Fiance FELL IN LOVE with the look of the Bar.
