People seem so entitled to ask you about these life events; I can’t figure it out. At my mom’s wedding six years ago, an obnoxious family friend made all sorts of weird comments, then she poked me and said, “Are you next?” And I wasn’t even DATING anyone.

I haven’t gotten the “when will you have kids!” questions yet, though… fertility issues run in my family, and luckily all the women are empathetic about that.

I hate that question too because I obviously don’t know! Although if you asked my boyfriend or his mother, they might know.  Apparently they both know something I don’t regarding our future…

ROFL…I finally got to the point when people ask “are you guys ever gonna get married?” I say NO we’ve decided not too. Shock factor alone makes me feel better lol.

Answer: *LAUGH* When I meet the right person.

They shut up right away.

Ironic, I just gor asked this today:

Aunt: Yall thinking about marriage?

Me: He has to ask me, not me ask him.

Aunt: If he asks, will you say yes?

Me: That’s my personal business.

Hopefully that shuts it down for a while.

“OH, I see you’re engaged. Are you pregnant??”

“No. JERK.”

Okay I got asked by my dad if I thought my boyfriend was getting cold feet.  Wow, thanks Dad.  Way to make me feel awesome and secure.

My cousin met some girl in Nicaragua and announced that they were getting married, then got married that same week! We still haven’t talked to the family about getting married, since things aren’t finalized or “official” yet, but now my whole family is like “Well HE got married, why aren’t YOU getting married?”

It’s like, umm, sorry I am not INSANE.

lol @ fushiasparkles!

I was so over that question. I tried all sorts of responses that were crazy and off the wall, but people kept asking. It got to the point where I was starting to resent my FH because I felt that I was always getting asked and he didn’t understand how I felt.

Now that we are engaged, people are excited, but some people are surprised that we already have almost everything done. Can’t please people.

I used to get that comment ALL THE TIME.  Sometimes I would reply back with ‘Don’t worry, when the time comes, you’ll be sure to know’.  Either that or I would shrug and tell them ‘when the time comes’.

My Fiance told them ‘I asked her and she said NO’.

heehee.
