I got my dress on ebay and my reception dress from houseofbrides so they were probably one of the things we spent the least money on. My shoes on the otheer hand turned out to cost about as much as my dress..

My parents paid for the dress and veil as part of their wedding gift, but if I theorectically factor it in to the overall cost of our wedding it would be around 7%.

I voted 10%-25%. My dress with tax, shipping, and alterations will be about $1,900-$2,000 and our entire wedding (excluding rings and honeymoon) is coming in right around $17,000 so it will end up being about 12%.

My dress, including alterations, undergarments, and accessories, was about 14% of my budget.  All of the dress stuff was a little over $1,000, but my wedding (not including engagement ring or honeymoon) is costing about $7,000.
