I have seen these:

a candy buffet

a birdcage veil

any hair accessory other than a traditional veil

a dress with pick-ups (except my own!)

a friend-officiant (a rather nice trend, if I do say so myself! I just haven’t seen one)

a flip flop basket

a photo booth

a signature drink

short dress bride

late night snacks

I’ve been to a LOT of weddings, though.  We’ve been to 21 together, and then I probably went to 8 more before that.  And, we have three coming up this summer!

I haven’t seen:

Rustic themed wedding

mustaches on sticks

uplighting

Sparkler sendoff

non-traditional first dance (I HAVE seen multiple choreographed dances, though.  Like the one from Dirty Dancing?  Or Thriller?  Seen it all.)

This is an AWESOME post.  Before FH totally nixed the idea, I really wanted to do the whole love bird theme, but I was worried that it would be totally passe before my wedding.  Then I realized that I had only seen it splashed all over blogs, never in real life, so no one at my wedding would have known it was uber-trendy.

Anyway, things I have not seen:

mason jars* (both for center pieces and glasses for pre-ceremony beverages)

pre-ceremony iced tea and lemonade*

flip flop baskets

late-night snacks

birds/birds’ nests/peacock feathers

bell jars

succulents

vintage books

milk glass hobnail centerpieces*

brooch bouquets

bunting

signature cocktails*

taco trucks

all white flowers*

no attendants*

photos clothes-pinned to twine

ceremony chairs in a circle around the arch*

friend officiant*

completely non-religious ceremony*

Things I have seen:

groom/groomsmen in suits*

vintage hankies*

candy buffets

no cake, just petite sweet buffet*

bluegrass trio for ceremony/cocktail music

iPod DJ*

Out of Town bags*

casual, all-inclusive rehearsal dinners*

after-parties for the rehearsal dinner and wedding*

*means that I am having this at my wedding

I’ve been to over 15 weddings and the only things I’ve not seen are:

*Candy Buffet’s (I’m doing on though)

*OOT Bags (I might make these)

*STD’s (I’m making them for mine)

*Flip Flip Basket

*Late Night Snack Table

*DIY Photobooth (I’m have one at mine)

*Signature Drinks (Possibly for mine aswell)

*Sparklers

*Anything Vintage

But I have seen a lot like the uplighting, bouncy castles (amazing!! and I’m having them aswell!!), Grooms men in matching suits, Birdcage veil, etc.

I’ve never seen a signature drink or a candy buffet. However, I haven’t been to a whole lot of weddings so I have a limited pool to draw from 😛

I’m doing a candy buffet, mason jars, a late night snack bar(really simple, just bar type snacks) and a burger bar. Also doing giant roses and coffee filter flowers. Oh and cupcakes. Clearly I spend way too much time on pinterest

I did a photobooth and have seen it on one wedding other than mine.  We gave out flip flops but that is the most common thing in the world in Mexico (not only for weddings).  We also had a pie buffet and a candy buffet instead of cake, but I havent seen it in any other wedding.  I have not seen mason jars, many diy things, birdcages (tho my friend who cancelled her wedding a few months ago wanted one)

@greenleafmountain:  I’m doing a signature drink, a photoboot and uplighting.

I find candy buffets really lame. I am doing a dessert buffet though.
