hey ladies! i was wondering in what order did you book/put deposits on for your wedding! for us it will most likely be the reception venue, because we are willing to move the date by a week to get that venue, and they only book a year out…. so come june thatll be the first, then the Save-The-Date Cards…… would love to hear how u ladies went about everything!!

First two things we booked were our venue & photographer. Once we nailed that down we started booking everything else and ordered our STD’s.

- Wedding: October 2012 - Prairie Production- Chicago (loft)
This is the order I booked/paid deposits/and am working on things
Venue (14 months in advance)- had to have a place
Caterer- to plan event/food/liquor/cake
Photographer 12 months prior(asap) – to take engagement pix
Officiant- most important part – 8 months prior
DJ- easy to work on this now that everything else is working out well
Flowers are last beacsue there are many florists available… and thats a small detail of the big picture
