Activities? I don’t understand the need to have “activities” at a wedding. Sorry, I just don’t get this fad.

We’re having a DJ with dancing. Instead of a bouquet/garters toss, we’re having all the guests do a lottery scratch off card to see who the winners are.

But, there’s no “activities.”

We are hiring a caricaturist to draw the guests at our wedding. The drawings will double as favors and at the end he’s giving us a compilation drawing of ourselves and our guests. We’re excited!

DDR or Wii setup with Wii Sports would be fun! You could do bride versus groom, Mother-In-Law versus Mother-In-Law, lots of stuff.

My lighting guys actually showed me a new product that they have. A video guestbook. Each guest can leave a short video congradulating the newlyweds and then the company puts it all together. I thought it was neat but I opted out of it since I was already doing a photobooth that included a guestbook.

We had a candy bar as well(I don’t know if that’s an ‘activity’)

@katiesee:  I love that idea. I’m pretty sure that Drew Barrymore had one for all of her guests.

We’re having a boardgame table.  I’m also making crosswords for each table with the questions all having to do with Fiance and I, and whichever table finishes theirs first wins a prize.  I really wanted to set up a croquet game as well, but we’re doing that at the engagement party instead 😛

We had cornhole!  It snowed so we weren’t able to play, but we painted the boards with our wedding date and they were cute to have around.

Since we’re not having drinking or dancing, I wanted the day to still be fun for everyone, so we’re planning to do a photo booth, a Photo I Spy Game on each table and an interactive guest book!  Hopefully this will all be fun for the guests and they all provide some cool souvenirs and things to look back on after the wedding’s done.  🙂
