Does anyone have some information on reliable, reasonably priced wedding dress sites/nationwide stores that AREN’T David’s Bridal or Alfred Angelo? Most of the time I hear brides on a budget head straight to those two, and that’s fine, but I’m looking for more options. I would prefer not to order a knockoff dress or ship from China.
I keep liking dresses on sites like ailidresses.com or landybridal.co and I have no idea what the reputation of these places are, so I am afraid to even look on the sites! Help please?
I have a budget of $1,800 for my wedding dress, accessories, and alterations. I am looking pretty much only online for dresses at this point as I am planing my wedding long-distance. I am also a plus-size bride, right now I am size 18/20 in US sizing but am hoping to get to a US 14 by the wedding.

Try bestbridalprices.com. They have a lot of different designers and their prices are the same as those in the salons. I’ve also heard that they are VERY reputible as far as being licensed to sell these designers. They also have specials like free shipping and if you buy a dress you get a free veil and shoes.

I have been to boutiques that had dresses that were priced at below $1000 .. just a thought!

You can find lots of options on Etsy, just pay attention to each seller’s feedback!

Try weddingshoppeinc.com. They have a real store in the US somewhere, but you can browse dresses and see prices online and even order if you wanted.

Maybe you should do a Yelp.com search for salons in your area. They will give a price range ($ – $$$$).
I also like sites like recycled bride and preownedweddingdresses.com

I don’t know about specific stores but you can find bridal salons that offer that price range. I know that Justin Alexander (designer) has well priced dresses and they are beautiful!

See if there will be a Brides Against Breast Cancer event anywhere near you in the leadup to your wedding. (www.bridesagainstbreastcancer.org)
You can try the gowns on in person and know exactly what you’re getting, the prices are wonderful, the organization is wonderful, the staff is wonderful – and they have a wide range of real sizes. Some of the gowns are preowned, some are brand new (donated by shops and designers).
