I’m not a parent, but I confess I judge parents who threaten violence on their kids. Not a swat on the butt to get their attention (I was spanked, I’m not scarred for life), but the ones I hear saying “I’m gonna knock you silly!” or “Shut up or i’m going to smack you!” to SMALL children, toddlers even! Or worse, the ones I see actually slap their kids across the face in the grocery store!
I just cringe, and yes, I judge. The threatening of violence IN PUBLIC shames these children instead of disciplining them. I look at them and see fear, not a lesson learned about right and wrong or good and bad behavior.
Like I said, I’m not a parent, but I HAVE been a child. And I know that the discipline I received was to teach me lessons about right and wrong and to teach me to respect my parents – not fear them.

Eh, I “judge” a lot of people, I’m not too concerned about it though.
The parents who let their kids run around in a store or scream and annoy people in restaurants.
The horrible people who left their pets behind when they move, for whatever reason.
The people who throw their pets in a shelter when the baby arrives.
People who think everyone else should treat their kid like the genius/angel/superchild that they think they are.
People who don’t know what the hell they’re talking about, but talk about it like they know anyway.
People who have kid after kid despite being on welfare (or maybe because of it. I knew a lot of these people when I was young).
LOL, ok this is ranty enough…

I’ve had enough judgment with my own wild and crazy ride through parenting and Autism, I find it makes me much happier to look at other parents and say “I know, it’s tough right?!”

I judge my neighbors who let their 3 year old walk unattended down our street without supervising her. I am all for kids playing outside- but watch your kid!

raw meat can contain bacteria such as e.coli and salmonella. That would be a pretty risky thing to me with as often as I see dogs licking people’s faces.

@hisgoosiegirl – You can judge me for raw-feeding my pets if you want. I don’t want to get off on a tangent about it, but I could post plenty of information comparing the germs/bacteria in raw meat versus dry dog kibble (there are just as many germs/bacteria in dry kibble). So that would be an issue if the parent wants to have a pet in the house at all, not what the pet is fed.
