I see posts about people never RSVPing on here all the time. Since it seems to happen frequently, we’re fully prepared to call those who don’t respond and get an answer. But I’m still curious:
How many people did you invite to your wedding? How many sent back RSVPs without needing to be prodded (by the deadline)?

hmmm…good question! I think I’ve read threads about that recently, and I think some people have said something like 30-50% ! ugh!

We sent out 138 invitations and we had to call/email 32, so 23% of our list.
The crazy thing for us is that ALL but five invites of those 32 ARE coming. I always heard it was the people who weren’t coming that didn’t RSVP. Now I’m curious to see how many of those are no-shows!

I would say over 50% did not RSVP without prodding. Some magically got the prodding message, and it jumped to about 30-40% who didn’t send the cards back. A lot of answers I just got from word of mouth or through emails. Some I have not heard from AT ALL since the save the dates… and we tried contacting them. I’m assuming that means ‘no’. I’m not sure whatelse to do.

I am having the same problem. We’re probably missing about 30-40% of our RSVPs and have heard that these people intend on coming. I feel like if they can’t take the effort to put the already addressed little envelope with the stamp already on it back in the mailbox, will they really have the effort to come on the day. I don’t trust the “ya I’m coming” response. :S
