I’m a perfumista — never too heavy with it, though. I’d love to know what perfume you are wearing for your wedding, or wore for your wedding. What cologne, if any, is your fiance wearing, or did he wear? Do you plan special perfumes for the other activities?
I am wearing Puredistance 1 for my wedding. Here’s a review: The composition is a sophisticated floriental with fresh opening (magnolia and an ozone-watery lily of the valley accord) and an overall floral and soft character which shimmers delicately like rose gold set with tiny diamonds on lily-like fingers. The more you leave it on skin the more it gains in soapy-powdery feel, quite delicate and feminine to the core, like exploring a woman’s intimate secrets revealed only in the quiet of the night. The white musk and sandalwood are what remains poised when the sing of the birds at dawn has echoed through the night chambers and the sweet embraces are over.

Notes for Puredistance I include tangerine blossom, cassis, neroli bigarade, magnolia, rose wardia, jasmine, parmenthia, natural mimosa, amber, vetiver and white musk.

Stella by Stella McCartney. It has a nice rose note in it that I love.

None! I absolutely can’t stand the smell of any type of perfume, calogne, underarm deodorant, shampoo/conditioner, etc. After a while I get a headache and my nose starts running and I feel like I’m going to suffocate if I don’t get in the shower asap. I think I have a slight allergy to it all. Everyone in my bridal party is well aware and nobody better show up with any perfume on or spray that crap around. I don’t even like smelly candles. There have been some scents that make me think, oh that smells pretty, maybe it will work. And then no, it doesn’t. I find it frustrating because I’m stuck with expensive shampoo/conditioner/hair products and I have to use the unscented deodorants.
ETA: I also have to make my own laudry soap and dryer sheets because nothing in the stores work either. Even the unscented stuff has something in it that drives me nuts.

I wore Something Blue by Oscar de la Renta.

I borrowed one of my bridesmaids perfume. It was Creed but I’m not sure which one. I wanted something different than my everyday fragrance, something a bit fancier and it really fit the bill.

I’m not sure yet, but I’m thinking I will go for Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan. It’s very romantic! 🙂

I wore Flowerbomb because I had a destination wedding and it was the only fragrance I had that was a rollerball 🙂
I didn’t trust myself to bring any of my other perfume bottles.

I wore VS Heavenly, but it’s what I wear most days so it was nothing special. I just like it a lot.

I love No. 5 but it’s my mum’s signature scent, so I could never wear it.
I’ll be wearing Knot by Bottega Veneta. It is a really deep, complicated scent that’s perfect for winter (I’m not very good at explaining scents).
I know that it seems a bit silly, but I really wanted a bottle that would look good in detail shots and had a classic look that would stand the test of time. By luck the bottle compliments my dress and my venue too (which is also where I am getting ready).
