What personal things did/do you do to prep for the wedding?posted 1 year ago in Beauty

I LOVE Barre. Initially I was exercising more often to feel more wedding fit. But to be honest I began to see how that was the wrong reason – I should be getting fit for myself and overall health rather than just for this one day.
The other thing I am conscious of is whitening my teeth so I bought some whitening strips to try. Some of my girlfriend’s suggested a facial. I am definitely going to do some face masks regularly to help keep my skin bright and nicer. But all of these things make me reflect more on how to better myself in general and beyond rather than just for that one day.
Good luck! I am sure you will look fabulous whatever you do.

So fun reading everyone’s prep routine and some good ideas! Here’s mine:
Invisalign (I’ve been wanting to do this long before I even met my FH, but the wedding was finally a good excuse, started 6 months out and will be halfway through the process but already enjoying a difference!)
Teeth whitening a month before the wedding (FH and I both)
Fresh Keratin treatment and glaze (I do this regularly anyway but timing it)
Seeing a dermatologist next month for what I think is mild rosacea (again, wedding a good excuse to do this). I also had my hormonal IUD removed in March after two years – the horrendous massive painful cystic acne on my face and back never subsided and I just couldn’t deal anymore and was so scared about having an unwanted guest on my face on my wedding day – went back to the pill (lesser of two evils I suppose) and saw huge improvement right away
I tested out my wedding manicure and so happy I did, it came out great and now I know where and who to go back to.
Eyebrow tinting and waxing 5 days before wedding (not any closer as waxed areas can resist makeup in the first couple of days)
Yoga and running more consistently between now and then (coming off of the winter is hard and we’re doing a lot of hiking on the Honeymoon!)
Eating extra healthy month before (but I won’t be giving up my red wine)
The one ‘big’ one for some that I’m not doing is any kind of spray tan/tanning bed. I’m super pale all year round and I want to look like myself in pictures!

- Wedding: July 2019
Working out more
HD Brow appointments
Using eyebrow conditioner to thicken my brows
More frequent haircuts to keep my hair in good condition
Using hair treatments to help thicken up my hair as I am prone to thin hair
Improving my diet e.g. drinking more water, cutting down on carbs and sweets
Using nail strengthening varnish
Improving my facial care routine
I won’t be using any tanning as I don’t like it
i think that’s all 🙂
