I’ve had US Cellular since I got my first phone as a teenager. Up until recently I’ve been very pleased with my phone plan but when I went in the other month to upgrade my phone she said there were new price increases and in order to get the same thing we are now we would be paying an extra $20. When we first activated our account we knew we wouldn’t be using that many minutes. We barely talk on the phone but I knew we would be using a lot of texting so I wanted unlimited. The lowest amount of minutes didn’t come with anything so we got more minutes to save money. With the new plans the amount of minutes went up again and so did the price for the most basic plan. I know my plan came up in November but until now haven’t given it any more thought (other than I wasn’t going to resign my contract because I wanted the same price)
What phone company do you ladies have? I need some ideas. I would like a phone that isn’t the cheapest available but I don’t want to spend too much (and not sure if I even want internet). I really want to save some money (right now we are spending around $110 a month) but would like something nicer than I have now (which is the cheapest one possible). So, got some suggestions?!? Share them with me!!

We have AT&T. I’ve had them since I was about 16 as well, without any real problems.
I have an iPhone and SO just has a standard cell (not smartphone). We pay around 130 right now. They don’t include texting in the plans for the most part, you pay for it as a separate feature so unlimited texting for a family plan is $30. They have smaller text packages too.

I have an iPhone on AT&T. We get a discount through our company – we spend $62 each a month (so $124 a month total).

Between Fiance and I, we’ve had nearly every cell provider available with the exception of T-Mobile who has shit for service. We’ve had AT&T for about 4 years and have never had a problem with them. Their customer service is great and we never drop calls. We would prefer our plan was a little cheaper but both having iPhones doesn’t help. Our monthly bill is $178 which includes a 15% discount through our company.

I have Verizon and I love it. Can’t wait to get my iPhone next month. I am on a family plan with my fam, and we have 5 phones, including 3 smartphones, with unlimited data, texts and pictures, for about $300/month.

why do you say that T-mobile has the worst service? We were actually looking at them tonight and thinking about switching to them in May which is when my contract ends. I got interested because my boss has had T-mobile for a while and loves it and I’ll get a work discount with them. They seemed the most reasonable for the amount of minutes we want and the unlimited texting.
We looked at Verizon but they offered a lot more expensive plan for unlimited texting and I just didn’t like anything they offered..

AT&T and the Feb date that Verizon will get the new iphone can’t come soon enough. The AT&T coverage is sooooo poor where I live that I can expect to have at least 1 dropped call out of every few, sometimes 2 dropped calls per conversation. It’s totally ridiculous. Verizon is more expensive, but in my opinion, its the best carrier around and totally worth the money.

I have had tmobile and have never had any issues with my service even when I am traveling (which I do frequently for work and play 🙂 Maybe it depends on where you live? My friend and fellow bride also has tmobile and she travels to different parts of the country than I do but has also never had any issues with their service.

They have the absolute worst service in my area. I live in the suburbs so its not like we have sky scrapers blocking the signal or we’re in the middle of nowhere, we just have crap for service. Now that I think about it, we don’t even really have any stores that sell T-Mobile products around here. If you know someone who has had a good experience with them then I’m sure the service must be better in your area.

verizon! and I still have a cheap plan that isn’t offered anymore 🙂 plus you can get discounts. I get 15% off my plan because I gave them my old college email address..

I started out with cingular which morphed into AT&T, and I love them. I have the lowest plan for the iPhone, but got to keep all of my roll over minutes 🙂
Fiance has Verizon and he’s hinting at me transferring over now that they’ll have the iPhone. 🙁 But I really like AT&T and never had a problem.

Aren’t those rollover minutes awesome?! We have almost 3,000. I think we’re covered for a while.

I hate Verizon. I have had a lot of bad experiences with them!
