OOOH fun game.
I’ve got my lip pierced.
And each ear has 5 holes. First lobe hole is stretched to a 00g, second hole is stretched to a 2g, 3rd hole is normal sized but used to be a 4g, one hole in outer cartilage, right ear has forward helix as 5th and left ear has tragus as 5th. Here’s my right ear, mirrored in my camera phone. I also have my belly button pierced but everyone knows what that looks like.
Tattoo number one on my right wrist from the last stanza of an ee cummings poem:
since feeling is first
who pays any attention
to the syntax of things
will never wholly kiss you;
wholly to be a fool
while Spring is in the world
my blood approves,
and kisses are a better fate
lady i swear by all flowers. Don’t cry
–the best gesture of my brain is less than
your eyelids’ flutter which says
we are for each other: then
laugh, leaning back in my arms
for life’s not a paragraph
And death i think is no parenthesis
Second is a sun and moon design that I drew on my left hip/ass cheek. The symbolism is pretty common but I wanted some of my own art. I love the moon and what sun does for it.
Third was my ‘j’adore’ tattoo under my right breast. A friend and I wanted to get something dedicated to ourselves at a time in our lives when we were finally happy to love ourselves as we are, so we each got one accented with our favorite colors.
Fourth was my magnolia. I’m from Charleston, SC and absolutely love the foliage there. Magnolia trees were some of my favorites to climb as a kid and the flowers are gorgeous and fragrant. Pardon the bra lines, apparently mine is too small. lol This started what will eventually be a sidepiece of pretty things I love to go with my ‘j’adore’ one.
And last, for now, was my one year anniversary present from my fiance. I wrote an incredibly cheesy poem when he and I started dating about how I’m just one tiny flower and he’s my big strong tree, so he bought me this for our anniversary. 🙂
Sorry so long with super huge photos, but if I’m going to talk about them I want to show them off! I’d love to see more pictures of tattooed and pierced brides! 🙂
