Haha I dont think it all really set in like omg this is the wedding until the photographers arrived that day, weird I know, but that for some reason made it feel very real.  Thats when the day got super busy and never stopped being busy from that point on.

It first hit me when I tried a wedding dress for the first time… And then on the morning of the wedding it really hit me!

It didn’t really hit me until I was standing with my Dad all alone waiting to walk down the aisle. I thought that it had many times during the process, but it wasn’t really until that moment that I was like “WOW. I’m getting married!”

I think it really hit me at two points – when we started receiving our RSVPs back and 2) when my mom and I were driving down to Georgia the Tuesday before our wedding!

I don’t know if it will hit me until we are at the altar, because I keep having these paranoid fears that something will happen that will ruin the wedding and the wedding won’t happen. Like the officiant doesn’t show up. Someone loses the marriage license and she won’t perform the ceremony. A glitch in the records system will keep us from GETTING a marriage license. Any number of crazy, ludicrous things, but it’s in my nature to be a worrywart. I imagine only when the ring is going on my finger that I’ll be like, Hey, it’s for real happening!

When we looked around at the first venue and I realised the responsibility of it all.

It first hit me when I tried on wedding dresses for the first time.  But, honestly, it hasn’t really hit me yet and it’s 3 weeks away.  I feel like I should be more panicked or something haha.  Honestly, it probably won’t until I’m ready, at the back of the church, and my last bridesmaid starts walking.

To be honest, I think it hits me at different points. I’ll be at work and see my ring and think… wow I’m really getting married. Or I’ll look in the mirror and see it and think the same thing. It also hits me when I get confirmations from certain vendors. But I’m not sure it will completely “hit” me until it gets sooner 🙂

When people started sending me messages upset that I hadnt invited them even though the invites havent gone out yet. And i thought “ALREADY?”

Also when I got the call that my dress had arrived and went to try it on and saw my name on the dress bag and realized it was actually MY dress and not sample. It really hit me then.

When we put down a deposit for the venue. We kind of laughed together and said, there’s no backing out now!
