ooph. im trying to go as not “weddingy” as possible.. so the fact that i just ordered a veil is sending me into a panic.. haha.

i chose all untraditional music and the BMs can wear whatever they want…  my favors are a charity donation and i am def not doing bouquet or garter toss…  maybe i should have eloped 😉

i might do a few signature drinks… i guess thats annoying trendy… really so is the mismatched bm dresses and the charity donation so to each their own!!

Hmmm, probably a lot – colored shoes, birdcage veil, mis-matched bridesmaid dresses, paloma’s nest ring bowl, ann wood cake toppers, birds incorporated into “theme” (though not doing a bird theme per se), dessert buffet, hopefully a photo booth or gourmet coffee bar.

I’m proud too!  I love all of these things and decided I don’t care if they’re overdone!

Def the candy station, I know it’s “been there done that” to us, but I really love candy and think they look so nice.

wow i didnt realize all of those things were considered “trendy”!  lol i will definitely be guilty of a lot of them!  colored shoes, matching bms, wedding website, garter/bouquet toss, engagement pics, candy buffet, photobooth, etc…

to make myself feel better, ill just use the term “traditional”!  =)

I dont think matching bridesmaid dresses can be considered a trend. That has pretty much been the standard with weddings for years. Unmatched bridemaid dresses is new and trendy.

I can’t wait to:

Wear my PURPLE shoes!

Have a candy buffet (I’m a candy addict, so it makes perfect sense!)

Have cupcakes instead of a cake!

Have action food stations instead of a sit-down dinner

Serve Late-night snacks

and…maybe a photobooth!

I totally agree with Dancer22 – isn’t matching bridesmaids dresses standard?

Matching bridesmaids have been around since the Middle Ages when they first came into being. Garter and bouquet tosses are not trendy either since they have been around that long too.

That said, the “annoying” trends we will be doing:

Inviting kids and not having a separate room for them

Colored dress and colored shoes for the bride (I don’t own anything white as it is)

Non-traditional music

There might be more but none of these so-called trends any of us have actually seen in real life so I’m not really sure what all they include. We’re doing things we like and that our guests will enjoy and don’t care if a random stranger who doesn’t even attend doesn’t like it.
