I have heard lots of myths about pregnancy, don’t know if there are true or not, but will share, just for laughs.
one says if you get really ugly with lots of spots on your face when you’re pregnat, you are carrying a girl, but if you are really pretty then it’s a boy.
Another says if female children cry when you carry them, then you are going to have a girl, but if there come around you, then it’s a boy (same for male childtren). LOL
Anyone else heard any myths there care to share?

I think someone started a similar thread a efw months ago.
People always tell me that if you’re carrying low it’s a boy and if you’re carrying higher/wider it’s a girl.
I’ve also been told that if you have a lot of morning sickness it’s a girl.
I don’t believe any of them, but it’s fun to hear the myths and see what people think.

I’ve only heard the 2 posted above. If you are carrying low its a boy and if your face breaks out its a girl. needless to say, I am carrying low and my face is crystal clear and I know for sure its a boy

All of the old wives tales were complete crap for me.

The only ones that are true for me are carrying low and not much morning sickness. (I’m having a boy.) But honestly, since you have a 50:50 chance of having a boy or girl, you have a 50:50 chance of the wives tales being right or wrong. 🙂

HB above 140 girl; below boy.
Craving sweets girl; craving salty? boy
Then there something to do with your wedding ring on a string hold it above your belly if it moves side to side its a ? if it goes in circles its the other one. im not sure on the genders.
Something about peeing on cabbage?
I’ve also heard one about the placenta. If it’s on the right its a boy if its on the left its a girl, but it has to be decided in early pregnancy like 6-8w cause it moves after that. uhmm and you have to watch if it you have a transvaginal u/s its accurate but if you have a abdominal one you have to reverse it cause its a mirror image so if its left, then its really right.
i thinkkkk that’s all i remember lol

@gpsp2B: Hahaha I’d love to hear the one about peeing on cabbage?! That’s so strange… it makes you wonder how people arrive at these conclusions. Did a pregnant woman randomly decide to pee on a cabbage?! Too funny!

This ona has held true for my friends who’ve had babies.
Carrying a girl belly gets wide and less popped out and butt widens
Carrying a boy belly and butt pop and have a bubbly look.
Now I imagine this has more to do with body type than anything but it has been true for my four friends with little ones 2 boys 2 girls

I was told that if you have a lot of heartburn when you’re pregnant, the baby will be born with a lot of hair.
My babe was born with a lovely head of hair, and I didn’t have heartburn once. So… nope.

Per Wives Tales and Methods, I’m to assume it’s a boy because….
I have no morning sickness, so means boy
My belly carries low which means boy
I crave sour stuff which means boy
Normally I have acne but while pregnant my skin is clearer so means boy
All signs went towards boy….
BUT GUESS WHAT, I’M HAVING A GIRL, LOL!!!! All those wives tales are not true.

All the myths/old wives tales pointed at boy for me. I’m having a girl.
My favorite is the chinese gender calander. My friend SWORE by this and said that it was right for everyone she’s ever known to have a baby (ever!). Well it wasn’t right for me. lol
