I have a lot of DIY projects on my plate. So far most of them have went pretty well and I’m happy with the time I’ve put in and my results. That said, something I will NEVER EVER do again is glass etching. One of my projects was etched flutes (initals) for the BMs and beer mugs for the GMs. I thought, oh, just get some etching cream and a stencil and I’ll be good to go. Ummm, no… let’s just say that it’s now been three attempts and I’ve been forced to drop the stencils and hand “paint” the etching cream on. They look alright, but definitely not how I expected them too. It’s taking a lot longer than I wanted it to, plus eching supplies are expensive.
So, what is the project that you wish you would have either scrapped or just left to a pro????
