I wouldn’t bother having a regular physician do those tests because they don’t have the expertise to effectively interpret the results. Mr. LK has high FSH and boderline low T (hypogonadism, aka testicular failure). He’s had these same numbers for years, but his regular doctor didn’t know what to do with them. We went to see a  urologist who specializes in male infertility, he ordered the same bloodwork, and it took him about 30 seconds to go “Well, there’s your problem right there.” A regular physician is great for checking your cholesterol, blood pressure, etc. But if you want to know how his swimmers and hormones are doing, that’s beyond their solid knowledge base. Get an appointment with a urologist who specializes in male infertility for an accurate assessment.

My OB actually ordered a SA for my husband.  All he had to do was show up at the clinic.

My OB called me with the results.   Everything was normal, except morphology was a little low. But his overall count was high enough that the low morph didn’t matter. She recommended a daily multi vitamin for him, and that was it!
