After reading a thread yesterday about how it can be potentially dangerous to be bald down there, it got me to thinking about my own personal grooming style. I’ve done it all with all methods (except laser). I like the bald thing for a day, but then after that, the itchiness and irritable skin comes into play and it’s no fun. Plus, to be honest, it’s just too much damn upkeep for me.
I saw several of you ladies mention a razor with a trimmer attachment and was wondering what brand you are using. I’m a cheap ass but if it’s a good product i’ll spend the money on it. Ideas?

@redheadedstranger: I have the Sheik Quattro Trimstyle. I really like it BUT I’ve had 2 of them die on me for no reason, new battery doesn’t help. Second time I contacted the company and they replaced it for me.
Generally I really like it, it’s a trimmer and razor in one and it’s waterproof so i can trim in the shower.

I’m sorry, I must have missed something- WHY is it potentially hazardous to be bald down there??

I didn’t know that was dangerous either. What’s the story? I use Venus.

@redheadedstranger: I use a Venus as well. I have to watch how much I shave though because I will get infected ingrown hairs. I don’t even know why, my hair isn’t even curly.

@redheadedstranger: I’ve used the Schick Quattro TrimStyle but it died on me. I changed the battery and it still just stops as soon as it touches any hair. Another Bee recommended one on another post that I plan on trying next:

What about an electric trimmer? My fiance cuts his own hair so I just kinda stole his old one.lol. I don’t find it too large but I’m cheap so I’ll get creative lol

@redheadedstranger: I also use the Schick Quattro TrimStyle. Mine has worked just fine and I’ve had it for a few years now. I just change the battery. Guess I got lucky with mine. It definitely works well though, and I much prefer the super close trim to shaving (the one time I shaved it was horribly uncomfortable and itchy..and that was with a brand new blade).
