I love my work, and thank goodness that I do because I’m starting to hate some of my coworkers. For the most part, everyone in the office is great but there is about a handful of people who are just jerks. For example, they decide not to participate in a voluntary potluck (which is fine) but are the first ones to run to eat when they did nothing to help organize, contribute, or clean up. They’re also the same ones who never clean up after themselves in community areas like bathrooms or breakrooms. Seriously, is it that hard to throw your take out containers in the garbage bin that’s about ten steps away from you? It’s gotten so bad that management had to send out warning emails telling people that if the behavior doesn’t cease then they will start have to writing people up. Geezums!

I work in pre sale analysis. When salespeople want me to change a report to reflect numbers they are more comfortable guarenteeing, it makes my little brain go crazy, and I want to dig in my heels and go “NO! That’s not the way the math WORKS. Those numbers aren’t RIGHT. YOU CAN’T CHANGE MATH!! You can’t just PUT NUMBERS IN!!” But ultimately, it’s their asses on the line if I give them a promise and they fail to keep it, so I can understand why they want me to give them extra room for things to go wrong.
But I HATE IT.

I have 2 jobs:
Job 1: The customers treat me like I am some sort of idiot, and the people I manage act like whiny preteens who don’t want to do anything (or call to scream at me on the phone and quit in a dramatic fashion).
Job 2: Frequent amounts of disappointment when an offer gets rejected, or when a client wants more then they can afford (this is pretty much always).

Honestly? I annoy me. I have been there for over a year now, and insecurity is just eating at me. I could do ten things right and one thing wrong and feel like I am such an idiot.
Also, a newish micromanaging co-worker who has a sort of managerial position. If I make the mistake of walking to his desk in the morning, he bombards me with questions about why this is like that, or this is here… when I haven’t even turned on my computer yet. Hate that. Nice guy, but he annoys me sometimes.
