Overly posed, propped and otherwise unnatural.

@phillybride61513:  Agreed. Too posed or unnatural looking. Also, I don’t like when people “smile” with their mouths closed.

@Aquaria:  Totally agree.  Any technical issues such as bluriness or bad use of lighting drive me nuts.  I know weddings are very active events and some of that is to be expected, but I wouldn’t be able to take it if most of my shots had issues like that.

I hope I don’t offend anyone but I also don’t really like photos with random props. I’m also not particularly keen on photos where you can’t see the people’s faces like the ones where their heads are cut off (call me old-fashioned if you wish!) or where they are out of focus (deliberately or otherwise)

Unflattering poses. As a plus size gal, so many photographers are clueless about posing. Here is a hint…. do not do a profile shot of a plus size woman in a flowy dress when the wind in hitting her square in the face, pushing said flowy dress against every bump and curve she has. It does not make for a flattering photo.

I have a bunch of pet peeves when it comes to wedding photos, but my biggest one is brides who aren’t smiling. No matter how good the photo is, when the bride looks miserable (especially walking down the aisle), it ruins the whole picture for me.

Agree with everything above. I’ve also seen a really awful set where the bride was oompa loompa orange because she didn’t want to be ‘pale’. She looked about 50 shades darker than anyone else. It was very cringe-worthy. Be yourself! Don’t overdo it on the makeup or tanning or bronzer or whatever else.
