i’m not a science major but my sister has her masters in physics and works for NASA at JPL. she’s been there for about 10 years now. she considered getting a PhD but decided against it. she would also kill me if she knew i was posting this. she’s a very private person. :-/

I have my BS Civil Engineering and almost done with my MS in Mechanical Engineering!  My work is paying for my MS so I’ll probably be with them for a long time after I finish it, I love working in aerospace anyway.  Go science!!

I have my BS in biology/environmental studies and my MS is wildlife biology. I’m a wildlife biologist for a small natural resource consulting firm. Decided the PhD / post-doc route was waaay too much school! πŸ™‚

I finish my bachelor in computer engineering in June πŸ™‚

Afterwards I plan to start workings and sometime later, I plan to start my master in multimedia and 3d design πŸ™‚ (huge computer game fan, so I plan to have a career programming some).

I don’t think a phd is for me…

My boyfriend has a bachelor and a masters in aerospace engineering, and is thinking about a possible phd.

I’m currently working on my BS in physiology & pharmacology with the high hopes of getting into medicine.  I eventually want to practice Palliative Medicine, but if I can’t do that, then a second option would be pursuing a career in grief counselling.

I have a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering.  I did my BS then worked for about 8 years before going back for the MS, which took about 2.5 years and work paid for.

@candy11:  she probably does! whatever she’s working on now is “top secret”. she had to renew her security clearance and can’t tell us anything about it. πŸ™ i guess she’s most likely not working on the Webb telescope or else she’s be able to talk about it. she just finished up a huge project on Mt. Palomar (well it’s almost done but she’s moved on to a new project).
