I say the emerald cut diamond in the round’s setting would be the best of both worlds.

I think the emerald sits beautifully in that setting BUT I am a huge fan of round brilliant cut diamonds SO I vote round!

I personally find the emerald band with the wedding band too chunky. I prefer the setting of the round solitaire. Tho if it were me, I’d go down in diamond size.

I like that the emerald cut setting matches the wedding band but I love that the round setting references the shapes of the wedding band without being too matchy matchy. I vote round!

Emerald cut in a simpler setting.

I like the emerald stone, but the round setting.

The round stone looks disproportionate to the rest of the setting and looks very awkward to me.  Perhaps with a smaller round stone or the emerald in that setting.

Eta: I didn’t see the updates originally.  Both bands are better than the original.  But my personal preference is that if you have a busy engagement band then have a more simple wedding band or a simple engagement band with a more intricate wedding band.  That was my issue with the original emerald set – both together is too busy.

I still prefer the round setting, but not with that size or potentially shape stone and the emerald definitely looks better with a more understated wedding band.  If you think future modifications are likely, I’d go with whatever element you’re likely to keep (i.e. put that stone in a new setting or find a new stone for the setting).

mclaud :  I definitely prefer the round, but am not a fan of it paired with that band. The emerald looks good with the band, but I honestly, don’t like the “pattern” on the band or e-ring shank. Are these settings 100%? If not, I suggest slimmer prongs on the round. The current ones are an odd contrast to the baguettes (Love the round against the baguettes though) and make it look a bit dull. The 6 prongs is lovely though and accents the stone nicely.

ETA: Didn’t see your update- Still don’t like the emerald. The round looks better with the round band, but may I suggest something like this instead to tie in the baguettes? https://www.brilliantearth.com/Leona-Diamond-Ring-(1/3-ct.-tw.)-Platinum-BE2D1728/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=PLA&utm_content=BE2D1728-PT&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIl5-hze7t4AIVRlcMCh0pjQMKEAQYASABEgJ3OfD_BwE

Still think that slimmer (claw) prongs would be amazing, but understand that you would reset later.
